DreamWorks Animation and SKG Inc’s animated movie “Megamind” opened at #1 at the US Box Office this weekend and took it to its best weekend in past three months. The movie raked in about $47.7 million during that time, which is only slightly short on the predictions of it earning over $50 million in the same time. However, it has to be remembered that a similar thing happened to the last movie from this house “How To Train Your Dragon” — which did go on to become quite the hit. It had gathered  $44 million in the same time period.

Nikon has announced a new picture frame that is capable of displaying images in 3D. It has a 7.2 inch display and is called the NF-300i. Other than the fact that it is 3D, its main feature is that the 7.2 inch 3D display is autostereoscopic. That means that this device will not require you to wear special glasses to view the 3D effect. This is a good thing because otherwise it would be quite useless as a picture frame. Imagine having to tether a 3D glass to each picture frame just so that the image can be viewed by whoever happens to pass it by.
